CAMS’ client required new main undercarriage Knuckles to utilise readily available main undercarriage oleos but required the knuckles to be at a different angle from the standard unit and adapted to accommodate a backing plate to suit modern disc brakes.

The resulting units met all the technical requirements and demonstrate CAMS attention to design and manufacturing detail. The design was prepared on CAD and manufactured from steel. It was bead blasted then cadmium plated, polished back where appropriate then assembled ready for delivery to the client.
